Read what some of our patients have to say about their experiences with amplification:
I seemed to always put it on the back burner even though I was suffering inside. For the past five or six years, my hearing seemed to be getting worse. It is embarrassing when someone is talking to you and you can't reply because you don't know what they are saying.
An ad in the paper for Culpeper Hearing Center caught my eye. I worked up the courage to make an appointment just to see if I really was not hearing well. I was so surprised how easy it was. Dr. Mallory put me in the testing room and began checking each ear. It happened so fast and she was so calm and friendly. After the testing, she sat me down and we began discussing my problem and how easy it would be to correct it.
Of course, I was concerned with the cost. She assured me that I could get help through Care Credit. I now have hearing aids in both ears. It is amazing what I hear now. I didn't know the birds sang so loud, I can enjoy a dinner out with friends and hear all that is being said.
Culpeper Hearing Center has been wonderful. They make sure that everything is right, that I am not having any problems. I feel very comfortable with my hearing aids and the care that Dr. Mallory and her staff have given me.

It is my pleasure to commend the skill and professionalism of Dr. Donna Mallory, Audiologist. After an extended period of denial regarding a progressive hearing loss, I submitted to a testing and evaluation by Dr. Mallory. The results have been remarkable, and now I hear with unembarrassing clarity. Thanks to her and her competent staff my hearing world is far better than par! In fact, it's like having a hole-in-one.

My new Epoqs have given me the best hearing I have had in 20 years. Sound is more natural and clearer than my old, In-The-Ear hearing aids and wind noise is almost non-existent. Feedback is well controlled and with the exception of loud night clubs, noise management is good. And the streamer is the icing on the cake, with crystal clear cell phone sound and true hands-off operation.

Dr. Mallory,
Just wanted to send you a note to let you know how well my hearing aids are continuing to work out for me. I'm very pleased with the performance and haven't had any difficulty adjusting to them.
Even though I wasn't at all concerned if people could tell that I was wearing hearing aids, no one has even noticed them until I have pointed them out.
Even my wife can't spot them. More than once she has asked "Aren't you going to wear you hearing aids today?" I tell her that already have them on and then wind up having to pull my ear down to prove it. I can't imagine anyone needing anything smaller than the Epoq's.
The Streamer is also working out great. I have found that I prefer using my cell phone with it over all other options. No more fiddling with the position of the phone to find the "sweet" spot for the receiver (which has always been an issue for me), the sound is just "in my head". I'm considering hunting down Bluetooth adapters for our landline phones just so I can use the Streamer with them.
I hope you can tell that this has been a very positive experience for me. I'm very happy that my wife found your office on the web and I am also very happy to have found you. I look forward to seeing you and Beth again and chatting with you during my next visit.
If you ever need a positive recommendation from someone with an engineering/technical point of view just let me know.
Thank you so much,

Dear Dr. Mallory,
We are so grateful for you. A whole new world of hearing has been achieved for John and Mark. They are both so happy. Mark is hearing things he never heard before. He said that he didn't know his children were so noisy!
We are very thankful for all that you have done.

Dear Dr. Mallory,
I am just so glad God brought us to you to help me with my hearing loss. The hearing aids have been such a blessing (in ways you can't believe) to me. I love my aids and now I don't even worry about putting them on, I just do it and sometimes forget I even have them!
OK, you know how I came in the first couple of times? All nervous and feeling self-conscious? I just don't feel that way anymore. And I've had so many opportunities to talk to other people and tell them about my hearing loss and Epoqs, and I just try to encourage them to take care of their hearing problems. Thank you so much for giving us your time and concern for me!

Hi, I'm your typical sixteen year old teen with one exception, I wear hearing aids. But that wasn't always the case. Throughout my childhood I experienced chronic ear infections which resulted in hearing loss. Although I did well in school, I could never bring myself to admit that I couldn't hear; finally my parents showed me a picture of the hearing aids - I was amazed and told them I'd give it a try.
The day finally came that I would go to the hearing doctor. No one could imagine how scared and embarrassed I felt when walking in there. Dr. Mallory was really nice and discussed my issues with my hearing. I didn't realize how much I was missing. She then presented the hearing devices - they fit perfectly behind my ear and were out of sight! Even so, my first thought was what people would think of me, wearing hearing aids. But I gave it a shot for two whole weeks. Those two weeks were almost the best ones I've experienced in a long time. I was hearing things I couldn't hear before!
I tried the Epoq hearing aids I liked how they worked together, balancing sounds in the surrounding area. And another thing that I liked, best of all, is that they are Bluetooth compatible using a streamer. They work with a cell phone or an IPod. How cool is that? My friends were so supportive and impressed they wanted one for themselves!
If you're experiencing hearing problems, especially you teenagers, I hope I've left a vivid impression about these devices. Don't go another week or month without being able to hear well. Go ahead and try hearing aids. You'll never regret it, I promise!! God gave me a tremendous opportunity and I took it and never will I regret it.

I am so excited about my new hearing aids. I can now hear things I could never hear before. Sitting in a crowded restaurant and hearing what is said at my table; finally being able to hear what people are saying in the back of a church when I sit near the front; and being able to hear people in my work place without having to say, "what did you say?". I truly must say, the hearing aids have opened up a new world for me.
Thanks!
